Plot: David Chappellet is a mean-spirited skier, who profits from another skier's injury to gain a spot on the American Olympic team. His roommate sums up his goals when he observes of David, "He's not for the team, and he never will be"; but precisely who the David is that David is so fiendishly striving for we're never to learn. He develops a short-lived relationship with Carole Stahl, a glamorous European woman even more capricious than himself. Chappellet's identity trouble are exacerbated by the fact that he is an "Event" as well as a personality; and more astute minds than his own have difficulty where the one leaves off and the other takes over. Director Michael Richie's ("The Candidate") feature film debut.
Rotten Tomatoes: An ambitious young skier, determined to break all existing records, is contemptuous of the teamwork advocated by the US coach when they go to Europe for the Olympics.

Plot: The gangster Colorado kidnaps Marshal McKenna. He believes that McKenna has seen a map which leads to a rich vein of gold in the mountains and forces him to show him the way. But they're not the only ones who're after the gold; soon they meet a group of "honorable" citizens and the cavalry crosses their way too - and that is even before they enter Indian territory.
Rotten Tomatoes: Gregory Peck plays a sheriff in this western, though he's seeking gold instead of protecting a one-horse town. After making his way past several desperadoes (played by Burgess Meredith, Lee J. Cobb, Eli Wallach and Edward Robinson), he vies for the treasure with his nemesis (Omar Sharif). Also lending their talents are Julie Newmar, best-known as Catwoman on the Batman TV series, and Quincy Jones, who provides the score.

Plot: Coming of age story for two girls, Mary Clancy and Rachel Devery, who find themselves as students at the St. Francis Academy, a Catholic boarding school for girls. The story spans three years and follows the girls and their many pranks including setting off fire alarms, smoking cigars in the basement and putting bubble baths in the nuns' sugar bowls. As the girls mature, they gain a greater respect for their teachers and the commitment and devotion required to be a nun, leading one of them to make a life changing decision.
Rotten Tomatoes: Outgoing Mary (Hayley Mills) and the introverted Rachel (June Harding) cause no end of trouble for the exasperated Mother Superior (Rosalind Russell) in this children's comedy that is fun for all ages. The girls cause comic catastrophes at a religious school run by nuns with some civilian help from teacher Mrs. Phipps (Gypsy Rose Lee). Hollywood legend Ida Lupino directs her first film since the 1953 feature The Bigamist.

It seems Dr. Solaris has been kidnapped by a criminal organization. The trace leads to the Cote D'Azur...
Rotten Tomatoes: Dean Martin reprises his role as Matt Helm, famed secret agent who is part James Bond and part Rat Packer, in Murderer's Row. The film concerns the nefarious plan of arch-villain Julian Wall (Karl Malden) to take over the world by kidnapping Dr. Norman Solaris (Richard Eastham), who has invented a "helio-beam" -- a device that can harness the rays of the sun to destroy the earth. To insure his plans go smoothly, Wall has eliminated most of the ICE (Intelligence and Counter-Espionage) agents. But luckily for the world, super-agent Matt Helm, having escaped from being boiled to death in his own swimming pool, is hot on Wall's trail. Traveling to the Riviera, Helm meets Solaris's mod daughter Suzie (Ann-Margret) and they team up to rescue her father. Helm poses as a gunman on the run and Wall hires him. Wall becomes suspicious when Helm saves Suzie's life after she is threatened by one of Wall's goons, but Matt and Suzie escape from Wall and make their way to his island fortress, where they must find Solaris and disarm the "helio-beam" before Wall destroys Washington, D.C.
