Plot: Hillbilly, Will Stockdale, drafted into the United States' Air Force, combines crushing naivety, stubbornness, a completely literal mind, and amazing physical strength. Will the Air Force survive all the numerous experiences?
Rotten Tomatoes: Mac Hyman's hilarious barracks novel No Time for Sergeants was adapted for TV by Ira Levin in 1955, with newcomer Andy Griffith as bumptious Air Force draftee Will Stockdale. This TV version was soon afterward transformed into a Broadway play, and then a movie, again with Griffith in the lead. Brought to the Air Force base in handcuffs because his farmer father has been hiding his draft notices, good-natured Will becomes the target of ridicule for the other transcripts. Especially nasty is Private Irvin (Murray Hamilton), but Will is able to forgive him because he knows that Irvin is suffering from some mysterious disease called ROTC. Will's best pal is hot-headed private Ben (Nick Adams), who wants to be transferred to the Infantry and convinces Will to try for the same goal. Slowly becoming aware that the trusting, naïve Will may prove to be a troublemaker, career sergeant King (Myron McCormick), who wants nothing more out of life than a little peace and quiet, tries to keep Stockdale out of mischief by appointing him "PLO" -- Permanent Latrine Orderly, a dubious distinction in which Will takes enormous pride. Later on, King tries to pull strings to get Will transferred, succeeding only in losing his sergeant's stripes. The story goes off on a zany tangent when Will and Ben find themselves on a crippled plane in flight. They manage to escape with their lives, but all evidence suggests that they've been killed in the plane's crash. Imagine the dismay of newly reinstated Sergeant King when Will and Ben show up in his office -- just as the entire base is gathered for a memorial service for the two "fallen heroes." Featured in a minor role as a "coordination officer" is Griffth's future TV cohort Don Knotts, while Sammy Jackson, who played Stockdale in a 1964 sitcom version of No Time for Sergeants, shows up in an unbilled bit.

Plot: US Air Force veteran Ben Brown has been charged with the murder of aging Cole Clinton, a leading citizen of Durango County, New Mexico. Months after the discovery of Clint's dead body, Ben was turned in to the authorities by his wife, Laura Mae Brown, who claims she witnessed the murder. Ben has signed a confession to killing Clint, who picked up the Browns hitchhiking on the road on his way back home from an out-of-town cattle auction. In addition to the charge against Ben, Laura Mae is charged as a co-defendant, her trial to be separate from Ben's. Although the alleged murder did not happen in Durango County, the trial is held there, most of Clint's friends and family who will definitely be in attendance, their goal to see Ben convicted and proverbially hanged. Instead of District Attorney Paul Farish, Norris Bixby has been appointed special prosecutor to try the case. James Tucker, the presiding judge, appoints a surprised young attorney named David Mitchell to represent Ben. David's surprise is because he is not a trial or criminal lawyer, his recent work, especially since the death of his wife Lillian three years ago, being solely research, specifically writing briefs. David learns that his appointment was orchestrated by his mentor, respected retired lawyer Art Harper, who wants to see Ben get a fair trial and who wants to see David spread his legal wings. Even before working on the case, David sees it as an overall losing situation, he who will not be able to get Ben off, and will get no business following this case for representing Clint's killer. David doesn't even yet realize how much the cards are stacked against him and Ben as Bixby, an ambitious man, has managed to manipulate the evidence for the trial to be a slam dunk in his favor to advance his political aspirations. As such, David believes the trial will not be such, but rather a lynch mob. In meeting Laura Mae for the first time, David finds that she is a young woman who uses sex to her advantage and who cares nothing for Ben as witnessed by she turning him in. Ben, on the other hand, seems only to care about Laura Mae and her welfare. As David comes closer to discovering the whole story which looks to be justifiable homicide, he has to decide how far he will go in questioning other innocent players, such as Clint's faithful wife, Amy Clinton. Besides Art, standing by David's side throughout the proceedings is Art's daughter, Susan Harper, who admits she has always been in love with him.
Rotten Tomatoes: A court appointed attorney defends a young man accused of murdering a respected pillar of the community. David Mitchell (Richard Chamberlain) represents a man who killed one of the town's leading citizen in a heat of passion after finding the man in bed with his promiscuous, teenage tart of a wife. Ben (Nick Adams) found his unfaithful wife with Cole Clinton (Pat Buttram). Cole didn't live long. Joey Heatherton makes her film debut as the young adulteress whose behavior leads to this murder and the gripping courtroom drama that follows. As political pressure mounts to convict the wronged husband, Mitchell confines in a veteran retired attorney (Claude Rains) for valuable consul. Buttram, who often provided comic relief for Gene Autry, performs this time in a dramatic role as the ill-fated philanderer.

Plot: During WWII, a human heart taken from a certain lab in Europe (Dr. Frankenstein's) is kept in a Japanese lab, when it gets exposed to the radiation of the bombing of Hiroshima. The heart grows in size, mutates and sprouts appendages, and eventually grows into a complete body and escapes. Later, a feral boy with a certain physical deformity (a large head with a flat top) is captured by scientists who refer to the boy as Frankenstein. The creature grows to the height of 20 feet, escapes again, fights police and army, and is practically indestructible. Later, a reptilian monster goes on a rampage. Eventually the Frankenstein creature and the reptile face off in a terrible battle.
Rotten Tomatoes: The heart of Frankenstein is transported by Nazis to Japan just before the atomic bomb is dropped to end World War II. A hungry child eats the radioactive heart and is transformed into a hideous monster. The monster adjourns to Mount Fugi so no one will see it's horrible visage, battles Baragon, then sets out to destroy Tokyo. Dr. James Bowen Nick Adams is the American scientist who is conveniently on hand to help rebuild the city after the bomb and hopefully stop the giant Frankenstein monster from terrorizing the country.
